Pandora Unleashes New Brand Identity and “Let There Be Music” Campaign

PandoraNewLogoPandora has announced a new brand identity, using the slogan “Let There Be Music,” which the digital service says will reflect “the company’s mission to cultivate a better musical future for artists and listeners alike.” Components of the refreshed brand, which will be released today with Pandora 5.0, include a new logo, app icon and visual design, in addition to a video manifesto declaring Pandora’s purpose. “We believe Pandora is cultivating a better musical future by enabling an effortless and endless exchange where music flows freely from the artists who create it to the audiences who love it,” said Simon Fleming-Wood, Pandora’s Chief Marketing Officer. “This definition of our purpose has become the foundation for the evolution of our brand strategy.”
Of course, today also marks the debut of Apple’s iTunes Radio, which launches as part of iOS 7 and is considered a direct competitor to Pandora.
